Do you often experience discomfort in your facial muscles? Or do you frequently experience unexplained headaches? If so, you may be suffering from a common condition known as temporomandibular joint disorder, also referred to as TMD. Not only do we treat dental issues, but we can also help patients who suffer from this very common condition. It can be difficult to get a proper diagnosis for TMD. We now offer a quick, non-invasive way to evaluate your jaw discomfort. Click above to watch a short video and learn more.
What is Joint Vibration Analysis?
TMD, also known as temporomandibular joint disorder, is a chronic issue that affects the face muscles and the joint that connects your jawbone to your skull. Patients who are suffering from TMD are often misdiagnosed because many of the symptoms mimic those of other illnesses and conditions. As you saw in the video, we now use BioJVA, which is a joint vibration analysis, to diagnose TMD without causing discomfort. JVA is a quick, non-invasive screening that helps us evaluate your jaw joints as you open and close your mouth. You can see that electrodes are placed around your face, forehead, and along the jaw and neck. The information recorded is vital for creating a treatment plan. Our goal is to help ease your discomfort and help you live your life pain free.
