September 17th Is International Patient Safety Day
On International Patient Safety Day, we’re reaffirming our commitment to patient safety! Trust and safety are key to a good doctor-patient relationship, and so we hold ourselves to the highest standards here at McMillan Family Dental.
Safety Protocols
A safe visit starts with top-notch safety measures. Here are just some of our standards for keeping your visit as carefree and germ free as possible:
- PPE: Our team understands the level of trust you put in us for your cleanings, examinations, and dental care, which is why everyone wears personal protective equipment, including masks and gloves. Having their mouth wide open during a cleaning can make a patient feel vulnerable, which is why we always wear this protective equipment to prevent the spread of germs during these sensitive moments.
- Cleanliness: In addition to protective gear, our dental team sterilizes all equipment between patients. This includes using medical-grade disinfectant on chairs, tools, and machines, as well as disposing of PPE between visits.
- Caution: The mouth is a delicate area. That’s why all our procedures are handled with care. We never rush to finish cleanings, fillings, extractions, or any other treatment because we know that good work takes time, and our patients deserve our very best. Their comfort and safety are top of mind, and that’s worth taking our time to ensure.
- Training: Safety standards can change over time, so we’re always sure to keep up with the latest information. Whenever things change, we’re sure to deliver the proper safety training to our team.
